Review of Johnny Mnemonic (1995) by Nathan R — 18 Sep 2016

First, my rating of Johnny Mnemonic has nothing to do with how well-executed the film is. It's horrible!

And that's why it's such a damn riot! That's right. For me, this was a "so bad it's good" film.

You cannot deny how hilarious it truly is when you hear Keanu Reeves scream "I WANT ROOM SERVICE!!!!" at the top of his freaking lungs atop a pile of rubble and garbage. You cannot deny how hilarious it is to hear Keanu Reeves say "LEARN TO KNOCK, BALDY!" before punching a guy out. You cannot deny how hilarious it is to watch Keanu Reeves wear a giant steel cyber helmet while gritting his teeth hard like he's taking an epic virtual shit.

This movie is gold for all the wrong reasons. But I'll never forget it. If you watch it planning to take it seriously, you're gonna have a bad time. If you watch it is an unintentional comedy... you might see something new about it.
