Review of Jojo Rabbit (2019) by Theonrad — 03 Feb 2020
No, its not just another movie that makes fun out of the nazis. It makes fun out of the whole extremist thinking and ideas itself. You can see the war through the eyes of a 10 year old german boy, who got his brain washed by the nazi propaganda and he have his best sidekick, the imaginary Adolf Hitler.
But this Hitler doesn't thinking like the real one in Berlin. No, he thinks like Jojo's darker side, like an evil 10 year old kid whos get confronted with Jojo's good side. Aside its incredibly funny scenes, there is some really dark scenes aswell which makes the audience really really sad and think about there is never any good reason to start a war and hate each other.
This movie have a really biiig heart nad I love it. But for me, the main message of the movie is: "It's definitely not a good time to be a nazi" Yes. There is never a good time to be a nazi.
Or anything extreme.
