Review of Journey's End (2017) by Simon M — 14 Oct 2018
We realy had enough movies about world war 1 and 2- if u realy make another one please come up with an original story that shows a new perspective on it. don't just put some soldiers in a bunker and let them die - we have seen this countless times in better war movies.
its pointless. for someone who has never seen a war movie this might be impressive. but if u have seen saving private ryan or all the others, this is nothing new and quite boring. u learn nothing about the characters in this movie , other than they are scared for life in a pointless mission.
its not enough to worry about them or care about them. it left me cold and thats the weakness of this production. for example "the boy with the striped pyjama" is a war movie that comes up with a comlete new perspective, showing war trough the eyes of a child which is new and original and moving and it still works even we have seen countless holocaust movies before.
