I don't know how true this is.
A man, grows up in the country- has a lover, then a wife... But it blows itself out just as fast.
He then moves into town- works as a mason? cathedral builder. Where he falls in love with his cousin Sue. They... must come to terms with this love. Then, disaster strikes- and it tears them apart.
I watched this with the sound off. Like that, it worked.
Carefully composed.
