Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Josh G — 07 Feb 2018
I'll admit that I was very skeptical when I saw that a new Jumanji movie was to be released. I loved the one with Robin Williams, and I'm tired of remakes, reboots, and even sequels to some extent.
But as I saw more and more previews, I really began to change my opinion on whether I would see this movie. Finally got to see it last week, and I can't say enough great things about it. The premise of the story is the same: people get trapped in a game.
But the way the story played out was new. The story was very well written. The action was fun. There was a lot of comedic events within the movie as well as some moments hat might make you tear up a little.
The call-back to the original movie was brilliant. All the actors did a great job. I wish I had the time to see it again in the theater, but I can't wait until it comes out on iTunes so I can watch it again and again.
