Review of Kids (1995) by Pgh Nick E — 16 Apr 2013
I challenge anyone to watch this and not run to the nearest testing clinic when it's over. It was an incredible wake-up call to the youth of the time. anyone who sees it as glorifying the unsavory behavior it displays is clearly not looking below the surface.
the claims of it promoting misogyny are insane, as the two main male roles are clearly the villans, the antagonisits of the movie, and to say that we the viewer are supposed to identify with them is like saying we are supposed to identify with Darth Vader or the Emperor in the original Star Wars trilogy.
Kids is truly a film that you only need to see once, and afterward it will haunt you forever.
