I liked it, but after reading that Lucien Carr in actuality was not gay, and had more of a friendship with Jack than Allen - I realised that the director didn't bother to research the actual thing.
The film by itself is good, but when you portray Kammerer as a good guy instead of highlighting his abuse towards Lucien, that's when I realised that movies have the power to depict the TRUTH beautifully.
This movie holds the power but doesn't use it right.
