Review of Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) by Manningn15 — 31 Aug 2022
Watched Killer Klowns from Outer Space for the first time in over a decade and it's just as campy, stupid, funny, and visually amazing for the time due to it's special effects as I remembered. The special effects for the time are exceptional; the clowns are so well designed, each one creepy and cool and each in their own unique way, and they look realistic and their movement is pretty realistic.
The clown ship sets, the clown props, the clown vehicles, and all the clown set pieces are spectacular and cool for the time. The writing is really funny, love the morbid humor the clowns have, even if at times the human dialogue is a bit cheesy.
John Vernon and Grant Cramer give good performances. The music especially the song Killer Klowns is excellent. After watching this again after so many years I fully remember why it was my favorite when I was younger, it's still just as amazingly absurd as I remembered, an A+ movie for me that is definitely one of my all-time favorite movies again.
