Review of Kimi (2022) by Bertobellamy — 11 Feb 2022
Starts like some kind of high-tech ‘Rear Window, and ends in the most ‘Home Alone’ (even old Buzz is here!) way. And you know what? It’s fun! Yeah, the story is dumb and derivative, but Angela — an employee working for an Amazon/Apple-like company who discovers a crime when listening to the recordings of an Alexa-esque device —, the protagonist, played by a committed Zoë Kravitz, feels relatable in times like these.
The anxiety of working remotely and going out sure is my cup of tea.
