Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Martin A — 08 Oct 2017
Suited. Booted. Deluded. Although the reviews are mixed, I think this sequel has upgraded its fun, its charisma and its action because you'll already be entertained greatly during the opening chase.
My favorite scene from the first film made a revised return in this sequel but this time the Statemans (Agent Whiskey) took the "Manners Maketh Man" show and I remembered it so well because last time it's where Harry made Eggsy safe.
Less showing off of gadgets, less learning of the Kingsman, less fireworks but more mature Eggsy and co, more fun and entertainment and more tears and joy. Poppy Adams (by Julianne Moore) is eccentrically intelligent but exceptionally evil.
Elton John and her steal the whole show with under usage of the Statemans as a disappointment. This time, see Eggsy, Harry and Merlin finally team up for greatness but weep for the song Country Road (that's the most touching moment).
I've loved the first film for its brutal difference from traditional spy film and I've love this one because Matthew Vaughn has kept the standards and qualities (for example the action scene shot is hugely joyous).
A must see! "Manners Maketh Man", Eggsy is now a Kingsman.
