Review of Kuroneko (1968) by Steve W — 09 Apr 2013
Beautiful set design and camera work, poor story and plot. A pair of women are brutally assaulted and murdered, and their shape shifting ghosts prepare to attack any samurai they can find by luring back to the place of their deaths.
The husband and son of the two ghosts is then hired to stop what is going on in the forest, and the plot quickly slows down to a crawl. I lost focus in the narrative and I did not enjoy this ghost story.
