Review of LBJ (2017) by Michael P — 14 Jul 2018
Excellent performance by Woody Harrelson capturing a complicated and often misunderstood person. His performance carries the movie although supporting cast were most admirable. Very difficult to duplicate the iconic characters in th movie but Rob Reiner's directing brought authenticity and tione to the film that is noteworthy.
LBJ's importance in history is overshadowed by the Vietnam War but his legacy in support of civil rights, voting, Medicare and Medicaid will stand the rest of time and this film does justice to that legacy.
4 stars -excellent film.
