Review of Left Behind (2014) by Manny C — 12 Oct 2014
The end of days never looked so dull. That's what's happening in Left Behind, an end-of-the-world saga propelled by biblical fervor. I was anything but enraptured. Even for a Nicholas Cage stinker (and there are some real stinkers out there) this is grade F crap.
Taken from the best-selling novel from Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, Left Behind is a reboot of the 2000 adaptation starring Kirk Cameron that imagines what it must be like when the Rapture hits. The acting is barely there and often atrocious and none of it registers as the least bit entertaining.
The movie poster is very entertaining though. Everyone on it has a look on their face that says: 'What the fuck are we doing here?'.
