Review of Legally Blonde (2001) by James H — 29 Apr 2017
At a time when a mixture of things in life had me feeling down, I put this on on Netflix because I wanted to watch something lighthearted and fun. By the time the credits rolled, I had a great smile on my face and had forgotten about everything else.
Reese Witherspoon had shown that she is good as a 'dumb blond' type in Friends and she takes this role well. She makes her character extremely likeable and the transition to a highly successful, independent woman is nice to watch.
The other characters are good for the most part but none of them really matter. Arguably the plot is a little thin and predictable at times but this is a rewatchable, feel good film.
