One of those alter-universe Japan animations involving evil gods and souls. A kind sacrifices his soul for the safety his shipmates and crew to settle on a deserted island surrounded by an un-penetrable wall.
Frictions arise forcing some characters to open the wall with one of the main characters seeking retribution.
