Review of Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) by Alex B — 20 Oct 2012
It might be more cartoonish than 2 for the first half hour or so, but half way through, the film gets down to serious business and the gritt is brought back with a strong message about gun dealing on the mean streets of L.
A., but it's such a wild ride it takes everything that made 2 special as action film and charges it up into the stratosphere with the last 45 minutes being an extended shootout-chase-shootout-fight sequence, and the motorcycle chase with Gibson and the housing developemt shootout where Gibson and Glover let the bullets fly more than ever in the series with Rene Russo's help (she's as lethal as Gibson) make this a grand slam.
And Pesci's opening sequence as a realtor and his rant about hospitals IS ONE FOR THE AGES.
