Review of Lie with Me (2004) by Adrienne L — 10 May 2011
I can't help but think this movie has been ripped to shreds for showing a woman (Lauren Lee Smith) as the sexual aggressor, a needy man (Eric Balfour) as an objectified conquest, the unpopular choice to display more male nudity than female, and for daring to suggest two people could develop a relationship after first screwing.
I for one really enjoyed this movie. I thought both leads were good. Both the score and the soundtrack were excellent. I enjoyed the direction, the cinematography, Smith's odd wardrobe and the moodiness of her narration.
A personal favourite.
