One of the more difficult stages of life is when your getting older and your best friend becomes involved in a serious relationship and you must slowly watch the friendship decline. This is the premise of "Life in Partners".

Unfortunately, this film avoids dealing seriously with the promising subject matter of the difficulty of being single while the last of your friends move on with their lives. Instead it plays it more for charm with some minor laughs, and a more than predictable outcome at every turn.
