Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Frozen82 — 18 Aug 2019
This movie has some meta insights in spite of itself similar to Forest Gump. We spend a dreadful day in exitance of overprivileged "intellectual" rich little girl and her first world life problems of finding Japanese weird and talking funny up to not knowing what to do with herself now that she's a trophy wife.
She then addresses these deep existential questions with someone as khm...deep as her and they spend 2h talking about nothing. Cinematography goes nice with this flow in its tumbler-hipsterly pink bubble gum pop color saturation as perfect bkg for portraying this form of life.
