Review of Lucky Number Slevin (2006) by Chrisnorton — 07 Aug 2023
A unique and stylish crime thriller from Paul McGuigan featuring uncharacteristic performances from many well known and loved actors. Don't let the offbeat tone, flashbacks or quirky feel/dialogue distract you, this is a great film. It actually becomes part of its charm and an excellent guide for the viewer to follow along to its ultimate climax. This will be one of your most favorite performances by Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, Lucy Liu, Morgan Freeman, and Sir Ben Kingsley. This is not easy to put a story like this together, and it is put together masterfully with charm and humor, and after the credits roll you'll want to watch it again.
