Review of Machete Kills (2013) by Sandeep H — 06 Apr 2014
Definitely not up to mark with the previous instalment though it manages to create some fun moments with its classy action cult formula including the cheesy gore graphics. Danny Trejo as Machete is more badass and is ready for pretty much anything.
Have to agree that Robert Rodriguez' selection of cast is wise especially the villain part, and he does bring forward many characters from his previous movies and a great thing in this movie was Lady Gaga being part of it which was a surprise.
When the Grindhouse series was released, there was a trailer shown for Machete which follows similar principles of it, and when it became a movie, two more goofy trailers for Machete Kills and Machete Kills Again.
Now the second one has become a reality and it included another for Machete Kills Again in Space. Seems Rodriguez is planning this as a series.
