Review of Mad God (2021) by Pogelwoodcancer — 17 Jun 2022
It's an odd one for sure. Visceral and perplexing and nostalgic for those of us who grew up with Tippets work shining in more narrative based entertainment. And yet if your not into the technical aspect of what is achieved here there isn't much to chew on that hasn't already been chewed by so many half baked post apocalyptic 80's gore fests.
It feels legless. Prefering to confuse rather than tell let an audience understand. Which is fine if your in the mood but frustrating if you like investing in a journey. All in all, if your into films that still take risks and experiment you will come away with something.
For those that like stop motion it's simply an essential watch.
