Review of Magnolia (1999) by Nickthecritick — 03 Nov 2021
This movie, which really reminds Altman, is a good characters exploration and development showing a Paul Thomas Anderson getting better movie after movie. Some people complains that the movie is too long and a lot of scenes could be cut.
And it may be so. But there is something actractive in Magnolia and the cathartic ending contribute to make this movie an interesting (even if not perfect and sometimes boring) cinematic experience.
