The critics got this one wrong. The complex maze of PTSD and the mental health of individuals enlisting in the armed forces is a topic that has been thrust upon us over the last decade. It is a matter that we as a nation can not ignore.
"Man Down" could easily be the real life events of a combat vets living nightmare. Maybe the film contains flaws but the content is unmistakably raw in its attempt to bring to light the trauma inflicted by war.
The film is a must see. Le Beouf once again becomes his character in another outstanding performance.
