Review of Man on the Moon (1999) by Cydnee B — 30 Jan 2015
Man on the Moon is one of my favourite films because it is based on the human reaction to anything or anyone that lives life on the edge of whimsy. Andy Kaufman was a nice guy that lived for pranks, ahead-of-its-time television and live performances with mixed reviews.
Jim Carrey did the character of Andy serious justice by showing his child-like nature and his dedication to being funny, which is costly when the joke is on the audience. This movie is evidence that if you are misunderstood or a little odd, you might just be ahead of your time.
