Review of Manhattan (1979) by Sharon W — 07 Jul 2009
I think it's safe to say that I'm not a Woody Allen fan. This is yet another boring movie with unlikeable characters that talk simply to prove how smart they think they are. I liked Mariel Hemingway, although her voice was a little grating.
and I liked the cinematography, although black and white can be a little pretentious. The shots of the city were beautiful and the scenes in the planetarium (?) were wonderful. Otherwise this was a tedious film to sit through.
