Maybe I'm too old and well remember the magical original but this was truly awful. No memorable, toe-tapping musical numbers; overdone broadway type dance numbers. Arrgghhhh. I hope kids, at least, like it but don't think it's fun enough for anyone under 10 or so and just too complicated for anyone else.
Happy to see Meryl Streep & Angela Landsbury anywhere on film, but why those stupid sub-plots? Awful. Oh, except Emily Mortimer as sister. I enjoyed her though she was, incredibly weirdly, made a labor organizer in 20s London.
Made no sense at all.
