Review of Mary Poppins Returns (2018) by Jonathan B — 31 Dec 2018

I so many mixed feelings about this movie. Emily Blunt was amazing, however the songs weren't that catchy and it seemed to try to replicate the other one too much. I mean instead of jumping in a painting they jumped onto a ceramic bowl and instead of chimey sweeps they were lamp lighters.

I just think the movie suffers from trying to live up to the first one that it never has time to spread its wings and fly.
