Review of Masked and Anonymous (2003) by Daniel G — 13 Jan 2008
A rather ambiguous point to this movie. But I think that's why I love it. Watching this movie is like listening to Dylan's music. Interpret it as you will. No matter what your personal plot is, you must admit this is a very real social commentary on war and power.
Each character is someone you already know. The cameos in this movie are a window into the real point of the film. Val Kilmer's monologue is as true as it is troubling. The use of foreign language bands covering dylan tunes on the soundtrack adds to the mystery of time and location.
This film is made for those that think. If you don't like it, see 2 fast 2 furious.
