Good intentions and new photos of Matt Shepard aside, this loving documentary does not add much to the horrific story as it's been told since 1998. The early scenes, focusing on Matt's friendship with the filmmaker, are the most interesting.
After that, it becomes a retelling of events that have been covered in countless other biographies.
