Completely insane. Just a fun fact, Stephen King claims he was on cocaine for most of the production, and it shows. Almost everything about the film is over-the-top! The script is pretty crazy. There are lines and entire scenes that are very random and unintentionally funny.
The fact that some of the actors really ham it up doesn't help. Though the kill scenes have great effects and are very well filmed. But that doesn't make a soda machine attack any scarier, it's just awesomely bad.
Combine all that with a great score by AC/DC and you get one of the best bad movies ever made. 95/100.
