Review of Maximum Ride (2016) by Annie C — 17 Jul 2017

I give it 2 stars for effort & for the dramatic song intro that reminds me of the anime I watch. I like the main girl character, she was cool. But as for the movie itself, I feel like they should've made this as a TV series that ran for like 4 seasons.

I never read the book. But for something like this story, it requires character development & plot building. I didn't get much enjoyment because it wasn't a good film. Most of the characters CAN'T ACT.

It was a sloppy storyline, could've been done SO MUCH BETTER. I don't care if it's a "teen flick"...movies HAVE TO HAVE SUBSTANCE TO IT. I got more out of Twilight, and that movie actually sucked for the most part.

Let me end it with saying that the fight scenes also sucked...I was incredibly bored and wasn't convinced by anyone's skills or lack of them. This was a disappointing movie. I really wish they could've done better.

.. So sad.
