Review of Mazes and Monsters (1982) by Matt M — 27 Jan 2009
The only thing that keeps this movie from getting the dreaded label of 1/2 star crap films is the somewhat entertaining performance of Hanks. HE is still young and raw but he did have some moments that screamed for what was to come.
Other than Tom this movie was a waste. So unbelievable and nerdy that it was hard to pay attention. First off I am not a fan of these RPG type games and seeing these 4 kids getting so in to them and taking it so serious was way too cheesy.
The cover looked really good and it was quite misleading (it looks like it would be a Labyrinth type movie but no it was horrible and with absolutely no action). Sorry Tom I had yet to see a movie of yours that I hadn't enjoyed but it seems there is always a first.
