The premise of intelligent life being out there has become globally accepted. Its just a matter of time before we will be contacted. And the nature of this contact is what movies like these tend to speculate.
In the event of this realising, lets hope we have imagined enough. Kids with special powers are always cute and parents mostly unlucky;) The name 'midnight special' made no sense. But it was an enjoyable watch.
