First time I heard about this move I remember being annoyed at the title. I am already terrible at remembering the names of people I have recently met, how am I supposed to remember the title of this movie? I promptly forgot about this movie until I heard some of the release buzz this week and decided to attend. I'm a sucker for comedies and considering my current place in life (mid twenties), I decided I could find the content of this movie relatable and amusing.

Upon reviewing the actor/actress leads in this , I took comfort in relative familiarity. Adam Devine from Workaholics, Anna Kendrick from Pitch Perfect, Zac Efron from Neighbors, and Aubrey Plaza from The Office. That is how I know/appreciate these characters, so respect the fact that I probably have a relatively small appreciation of the comedic ranges of these leads.

For what this movie wanted to be, it succeeded. Plain and simple, it was sold to me as a dumb comedy about people my age going through wedding date hijinks, and that is what this movie was. It was rated R, so one could reasonably expect these hijinks to be of the pushing the envelope variety. Nudity? Check. Drugs? Check. Violence? Actually not much which I was happy with.

There were several characters that made this movie for me. While Adam Devine and Aubrey Plaza's characters are the biggest head cases of their respective wedding date duos, they also are also responsible for the most laughs. In particular, their triangular relationship with Cousin Terry was pretty hysterical to me. Other welcome characters include Stephen Root (from Office Space and Dodgeball! Where has he been?) Kumail Nanjiani (Indian dude from Silicon Valley, he was hilarious) and Sugar Lyn Beard who was very funny as the younger sister.

What else did this movie have to offer besides the aforementioned R rated comedy hijinks? Self Discovery? Check. Life lessons? Check. Smiling face leaving the theater upon film's conclusion? Check for me.
