It's incredibly funny and has great animations. It's not a critic pleaser, but it doesn't need to be. Minions: The Rise of Gru is an exciting, funny and smart movie. It is full of references to other Minions films.
The movie is not perfect, of course it has its nonsensical and weird moments, but it barely makes the mark to satisfy the audience.
