Review of Missing (2023) by Jakeyjake — 04 May 2023
Missing follows most of the same story beats and structure as its predecessor "Searching". The movie does a good job of accurately depicting what it would look like on a laptop when trying to solve the case of a missing loved one.
The performances are good, and helps deliver the more dramatic elements of the film and helps give more weight to a dramatic third act. There's constantly a great forward momentum the movie is going in, it gives a great sense of urgency to its audience and doesn't feel boring.
The movie is just about as good as its predecessor, it's an evenly paced thriller that never wears out it's welcome.
