Review of Mojave Phone Booth (2006) by Scott J — 03 Jul 2010
[/Soapbox] Ugh, Yes, I get it...Men are all aggressive, psychotic, rich, sleazy, playboy drunkards....while women are all supportive, hard-working, manipulated, ignored, oppressed victims of society. Apparently gender stereotyping is fine as long as it's one-sided.[/end Soapbox].
That said, aside from the rather blatant misandry, this actually isn't that bad of a film. Although it sometimes begins to feel as if it's playing out like a bad MTV reality TV show, it has its bright moments. I admit the plot flows rather smoothly, and you're able to immerse yourself into the emotions that each of the 4 main characters are going through. That said, I can't in good conscience bring myself to give this film more than 3 stars.
