Review of Molly's Game (2017) by Ben T — 18 Feb 2018
This is a decent movie and has one, decent performance. It's worth seeing, especially if you like Aaron Sorkin's writing (which I do). Jessica Chastain is strong as ever in this and I would argue should've gotten a nod over Margot Robbie.
Idris Elba's accent breaks too often to have an impact. And Kevin Costner's role and a day-and-night tone shift late in the movie take away most, if not all, of this film's edginess which builds up throughout.
