There is a great idea here. This universe established is begging to be explored, and the characters have the same heart that they do in the first film. However, the film fails to live up to the standards of its predecessor, with a weak and forgettable storyline.
However, there is entertainment to be had in this film, and is certainly watchable. It is a warm and inviting, yet underwhelming prequel.
