Review of Morgan (2016) by Naomi K — 31 Jul 2017
This movie took up 2/3 of it's running time to build up to anything happening. The characters are all uninteresting especially the main character who they hardly go into to make an ending twist work.
This film has several opportunities to explore different thoughts about what makes us human and it refuses to ever go deep with ideas or try to make us question whether the staff should be as attached as they are, most of the staff is just there and so is the main character, no one is developed and things just happen to fill up running time building up to it's disappointing climax and boring, heavily foreshadowed twist.
It's boring, unoriginal and lacks creativity, if you're considering watching this I'd recommend the film Ex_Machina instead of this, I couldn't help but be reminded of the film throughout Morgan and of course I find the film to be much better in everything Morgan tried to do.
