Review of Mortal Engines (2018) by Adam M — 17 Dec 2018

I really liked the look of the trailer for this film so I was looking forward to seeing the finished product. However, I was left disappointed. The graphics are stunning but given the beautiful visual feast, it was a shame that the rest of the film came below par.

The acting was a bit dodgy, the script lacklustre, and it felt all very rushed, with no time put aside to build up our characters or setting. There were flashes of brilliance but nothing long lasting.

Watchable but it could have been much better.
