It had potential. But imagine if all three lotr were packed into one 2 hour film. You wouldn’t care about the characters. You wouldn’t care about the ring. You wouldn’t care about middle earth. Nothing would really matter cuz you’re just getting cliff notes.
That’s how Mortal engines feels.
