Review of Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (2018) by Omar L — 17 Dec 2018
There have been a few villains that are undeniably terrible, with no redeeming value. They exude evil and spite, and you want to see their downfall. Shere Khan is one such villain, and it's a shame that this movie doesn't make him more of a presence as he is in other versions of this story.
Serkis's passion for anthropomorphic characters is evident here, as he prioritizes the expression of personality through the use of CGI. Rohand Chand does a capable job as the young man-cub. Unfortunately, there really isn't that much more to the story than has already been explored.
