Review of Mr. Fish: Cartooning from the Deep End (2017) by Steve A — 16 Jun 2018
If you're gonna live in a dystopian, fascist, oligarchical, gaslighted hellscape, you might as well have a few laughs along the way -- they may be your last.
Mr. Fish is a must-see, vitally important, Oscar-worthy documentary. Mr. Fish is the nom de plume of Dwayne Booth, a blisteringly honest and uncompromising political cartoonist - sort of an R. Crumb meets Andy Kaufman type character. Booth's political leanings appear to be the left of Howard Zinn and he pulls no punches attacking either side of the aisle. Google Mr. Fish's cartoons and you'll see what everyone's talking about.
