Review of Mr. Nobody (2009) by Iac — 09 Mar 2015
What begins as a unique, interesting, and visually compelling piece devolves into rote romance that feels like a riff on The Time Traveler's Wife, leaving you wondering how the hell you wound up watching it.
It is a typical love story wrapped up in gorgeous packaging, with limited emotional impact. I give it points for the visuals and the initially ambitious intent, but only the first 23-30 minutes are original and interesting, and the rest, for all its convolutions, is pretty predictable.
