Most will be put off by its lack of plot, the incoherence of Spall's character, and the seeming randomness of the combination of events in the film, but "Mr. Turner" is nonetheless excellent; beautifully filmed, picturesque, and well-acted with some of the best production design of the year.
It's an extraordinary, and extraordinarily weird movie. Not for everyone, but if it sounds like something you'd like, you'd probably love it. I know I did.
