Review of Mulligans (2008) by Sarah . — 22 Jun 2009
I was debating rating this 3.5 or 4. As you can see I went with 4. It may be slightly generous but I will try and justify it.
This story is well written and acted on all parts. The characters present real emotions which makes it believable.
I think though the reason that I was impressed by this movie was because it was realistic. I mean it wasnt cliched or perfect. It was very real and true to how life actually is. The way that characters respond to situations are authentic and the ending was completely natural. I mean it wasnt your perfect everything is roses ending, and it wasnt cliched with some fantastical tragedy or anything of that sort. No, it was simple and true to reality. For that I was impressed.
Also, for me personally I feel pride when I see a movie filmed in Canada, written by Canadians, acted by Canadians etc. Especially if its a good movie. Which this one is.
