Review of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) by Lahyte — 22 Aug 2021
The first thing the fandom noticed was the animation style. It wasn't the usual style that the main series uses. The anatomy was definitely strangly unfamiliar, but it works.
The songs are catchy, but not as memorable by the main series' standards.
The plot was enjoyable, but not rewatchable.
Other than that, the central plot themes of friendship and turst were consistantly upheld as the movie progressed. Kids as the primary audience would definitely enjoy this. Adults as the secondary audience will be okay with it, hence my score.
