Review of My Name Is Bruce (2007) by Miodrag S — 06 Jul 2013
Bruce Campball makes fun of himself in every way with this hilarious spoof! He is basically played a totally hammed up version of himself as a b-movie actor in this film within a film. He is a washed up, alcoholic, and foul-mouthed womanizer living in a trailer.
A punk kid who is a huge fan of his films kidnaps him to get his help in taking out a Chinese demon terrorizing a hick town. The film is total camp and makes no effort at all to be taken seriously! It is a very fun and funny romp that should be seen by every Bruce Campball fan.
Those of you who know nothing about Bruce will probably not get it. I loved it. I commend Bruce for his willingness to poke fun at himself, no vanity for this guy! Very cool.
